Ben Northwood is a Wealth Adviser at Linea who works with professionals, families, and business owners navigating complex financial decisions alongside busy lives.
Clients often come to Ben when their finances feel fragmented - investments in one place, super in another, decisions made reactively rather than with a clear plan. His role is to bring those pieces together into a structure people can understand, maintain, and trust.
With over 17 years’ experience, Ben is known for a calm, practical style that helps clients move forward with confidence. He focuses on clear trade-offs, realistic options, and decisions that support both short-term priorities and long-term goals.

My Advice Philosophy.
“Great advice doesn’t just grow wealth, it gives people the freedom to live with confidence"
For me, financial advice is about people, their stories, and the lives they’re building. I take the time to truly listen, because understanding someone’s journey is the foundation of meaningful advice. Whether a client is navigating a career change, starting a family, or preparing for retirement, I’m there for the long haul offering guidance, reassurance, and a steady hand through life’s transitions.
I believe that education is empowerment. My role is to simplify the complex, so clients feel confident and in control of their decisions. I always start with protection: because strong foundations matter, and build from there with strategies that are both smart and personal. My approach blends technical expertise with genuine care, because at the heart of every financial plan is a person with hopes, responsibilities, and dreams. That’s who I show up for, every day.

My Career Journey.
My path into financial advice wasn’t just a career choice, it was personal. I grew up in a household where money was tight, and I saw how financial stress could ripple through every part of life. It shaped me early on. I understood how uncertainty around money could affect relationships, limit choices, and hold back opportunities.
That experience lit a fire in me, a drive to help others avoid the same stress and feel empowered instead.
I started my career in 2008 as a graduate financial planner at CBA, where I spent over a decade working with families and high-net-worth individuals. In 2021, I joined AIA Financial Wellbeing, focusing on holistic advice and building strong protection foundations for clients.
Today at Linea Private Wealth, I continue to guide clients with clarity and care, combining institutional experience with a deeply personal approach. Seventeen years in, I still believe that good advice doesn’t just change bank balances, it changes lives. And that’s why I do what I do.

Outside Of Work.
I’m an aspiring pilot, long black coffee enthusiast, and outdoor lover who finds joy in watching the weather roll through. Bayside Melbourne is my backyard, I spend weekends exploring its parks, beaches, and cafés with my family including 2 kids. Whether I’m whistling a tune or deep in conversation, I bring curiosity, warmth, and a genuine love for connection into everything I do.
